As a writer of articles, the author possesses the right to utilize their articles for various purposes, including use by employing institutions or those funding research, without requiring special permission. Authors who publish papers in JISK have extensive liberties to employ their work for educational and scientific intentions without seeking permission. This includes utilizing the work for teaching within their institution, presenting it at conferences, distributing copies to attendees, conducting training sessions, sharing with colleagues for research purposes, integrating it into subsequent works, incorporating it into theses or dissertations, reusing parts of the article in other works with proper citation, creating derivative works with citation, and voluntarily sharing it on open websites for scientific purposes following the CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License.

Both authors and readers are allowed to copy, redistribute, modify, and build upon the material in any format or medium, provided they give appropriate credit, include article citation or content, provide links to the license, and indicate any alterations made.

Authors submitting manuscripts understand that if accepted for publication, the copyright of the article will be transferred to JISK, granting rights to reproduce and disseminate the article in various forms and media, including reprints, photographs, microfilms, translations, and similar reproductions. Reproducing any part of the journal, storing it in databases, or transmitting it in any form or medium is permitted without written permission from JISK, though proper citation is expected as a mark of academic integrity.

While JISK, Yayasan Penelitian dan Inovasi Sumatera (YPIS), and the Editor endeavour to ensure accuracy and integrity, the content of the articles remains the sole responsibility of each author. The Copyright Transfer Form is available for download, and it must be signed and sent to the Editor via printed letters and scanned documents sent through email.
