Author Guidelines

General Instructions for Authors

The Jurnal Indah Sains dan Klinis (JISK) utilizes a web-based manuscript submission and review platform. Authors are required to register on the website before submission. Manuscripts should be submitted through the online system available on the JISK website at: https://ejournal.sumateraconnect.or.id/index.php/jisk/about/submissions.

The manuscript must be prepared in .doc or .docx format. For assistance with formatting, authors can refer to our template user guide for instructions on using our Microsoft Word Template. In case of any submission issues, authors can contact the Editorial Office at sekretariatjisk@gmail.com

General Guidelines

The JISK accepts manuscripts written in either Indonesian or English languages. Manuscripts in Indonesian languages must include titles and abstracts in both languages. Ensure correct spelling, grammar, and paragraph structure. The manuscript should adhere to the following formatting guidelines:

  1. Page size: A4 (210 x 297 mm)
  2. Margins: Left 25 mm, Right 25 mm, Bottom 25 mm, Top 25 mm
  3. Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt (except for the article title)
  4. Article title: Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold, centred
  5. Paragraph indentation: 7 mm from the left boundary
  6. Chapter headings (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion) should be sequentially numbered in bold using Roman numerals starting from one
  7. Figures and tables should be centred on the page
  8. Equations should be created using the Equation Editor in MS Word or Open Office, not as images
  9. References should be cited numerically using IEEE Style and managed using Mendeley

Specific Guidelines Manuscripts must include the following components:

  1. Title: Clear and informative, avoiding abbreviations and formulas
  2. Author Names and Affiliations: Indicate authors' names and affiliations with proper formatting 
  3. Corresponding Author: Designate the corresponding author for correspondence 4.
  4. Abstract: Standalone summary of the article, limited to 100-200 words
  5. Keywords: Maximum of 5 keywords reflecting the content of the manuscript
  6. Introduction: Provide background, objectives, and significance of the work
  7. Methods: Sufficient detail for reproducibility, referencing established methods
  8. Results and Discussion: Clear presentation of findings and their significance
  9. Conclusions: Summary of research outcomes and future implications
  10. Acknowledgments: Recognition of individuals or institutions that contributed to the research
  11. References: Ensure accuracy and completeness, providing full citations for all sources cited in the text

Figure Captions: Provide brief titles and descriptions for all illustrations

Text Graphics: Embed text graphics at appropriate positions within the text

Tables: Submit tables as editable text, numbering them consecutively and placing them within the text.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
